During the “Campioni in Festa” event, Ducati dedicated a moment of the show to its future and to the new, historic chapter in the world of racing: the entrance into motocross, with the debut in the Italian MX 2024 Championship. Taking the stage at the Unipol Arena were the team’s next rider Alessandro Lupino, eight-time Italian Champion and winner of the Motocross of Nations 2021, and nine-time MX World Champion Antonio Cairoli, who has joined Ducati in this adventure in the role of top-level test rider for the new racing programme. Lupino and Cairoli were therefore joined by the five Champions in Celebration, Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team), Domenicali, Dall’Igna and all the other protagonists of Ducati Corse’s successes, greeting the public warmly and then taking the symbolic photo of the event. The Motocross team will be presented along with the other official Ducati Corse teams during “Campioni in Pista“, an event that will be held from 21 to 23 January 2023.
