A race car for the road. The Nissan R390 GT1 was manufactured under GT1 regulations of the time to win 24 Hours of Le Mans in the late 1990s. The mid-engine design utilizes a 641-horsepower 3,495cc twin-turbo V6 engine with 470 lb-ft of torque. While Nissan’s official corporate statement for quite some time was that it had produced two GT1 road cars, an interview from 2016 admits that there was only ever one road car, repainted from red to blue and re-vin’d as the car was never put on the open market. With it’s sleek silhouette and race-focused cockpit, the R390 is truly a one-of-a-kind Nissan.
