Diode Dynamics

The Cell Team Leader is responsible for creating value for Diode Dynamics and its customers by providing cell-level leadership/direction, technical oversight & training, and direct observation of the assembly work being performed within the High Priority Cell. This position works within a team environment under general supervision to follow established procedures in the manufacturing of Diode Dynamics products. The Cell Team Leader must be driven and ambitious with a strong work ethic and a dedication to working safely with passion and integrity.

Essential Functions
In addition to all of the essential functions of the Associate Technician, the Cell Team Leader is responsible to perform the following functions:
Contributes as a working Team Member toward the overall production output of the assigned cell and leads by example.
Oversee the work performed by any individuals who are unfamiliar with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used within the cell.
Provides hands-on technical support, performance feedback, and direction for Team Members within the cell.
Provides general direction in work assignments to reach established goals.
Works with Assistant Manager, Assembly and Manufacturing Manager to set daily output goals.
Ensures all data collection and reporting activities are accomplished as required.
Responsible for the effective utilization of Lean Tools such as 5S.
Escalates issues and concerns to Assistant Manager, Assembly
Provides Training and/or training resources to the team members working in the cell.
Provides input on Team Member performance to Assistant Manager, Assembly.

Qualifications and Physical Job Requirements
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job acquired through 1 to 3 years of assembly experience
Fast-paced manufacturing environment
Sporadically paced environment with frequent interruptions
Regularly required to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
Dexterity of hands and fingers
Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Familiarity with cellular manufacturing and 5S is a plus.
A high school diploma required.
Must be willing to learn new skills and work with high attention to detail.
Must be neat and tidy with workspace.
Must be able to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Must have strong communication skills.
Experience soldering and assembling electronics is a plus.
